Priestly Ordinations at Notre-Dame de Paris

On Saturday 27 June 2026 at 9.30 am, Notre-Dame de Paris hosted the priestly ordinations for the Diocese of Paris. Monsignor Laurent Ulrich, Archbishop of Paris, ordained nine new priests.

9 priests called to the priesthood

Called by God to serve his Church, these men were trained at the diocesan seminary, in religious communities or congregations.

Thus, through the sacrament of Holy Orders, these priests received, through the laying on of hands by the archbishop and the anointing with Holy Chrism, the gift of the Holy Spirit for their ministry. All the priests present were also able to lay their hands on the newly ordained to signify the new priest’s entry into the presbyterate.

As priests, they are called to proclaim the Word of God, administer the sacraments in the name of Christ, bring the Christian community together in unity, and guide the People of God. Everyone is invited to pray for these young priests and their future mission.
