Prohibited Items in the Cathedral
- Weapons and Dangerous Objects: All types of weapons, knives, scissors, or any other items that may pose a danger.
- Banned Products: Narcotics, alcoholic beverages, and aerosols.
- Food and Animals: Smoking, eating, drinking, and bringing animals (except for medical assistance animals) are prohibited.
- Glass and metal water bottles are prohibited
Expected Behavior Inside the Cathedral
- Appropriate Attire: Please wear modest clothing suitable for a place of worship (avoid wearing transparent or tight-fitting clothing, cover shoulders, torso, stomach and thighs, for men remove hats, caps or bonnets indoors).
- Silence is required throughout the cathedral. The cathedral is, above all, a place of contemplation. Please respect the atmosphere of prayer.
- Phone Usage: Phone calls are prohibited inside.
- Photographs: Except for a few specific areas within the cathedral, non-flash photography is permitted. Photography poles are prohibited.
Security and Entry Screening
- All visitors will undergo security checks upon entry.
- Please limit your personal belongings to facilitate these checks.
- Luggage and large bags are prohibited.
- Backpacks are permitted (maximum 20 litres)
