Guidelines for a respectful visit
In order to preserve the sacred character of the site:
- Keep silence near the confession chapels (north and south aisles)
- Do not stand in front of the transept safety barriers
- Respect the prayer areas

Areas strictly not accessible to visitors include: the choir, the reliquary of the Crown of Thorns, certain specific chapels, and reserved liturgical areas
The duration of the interior visit must not exceed 1 hour.
- A cultural visitor guide has been specially designed to accompany self-guided groups.
- A pilgrim’s guide has been specially designed to support prayer throughout the visit.
- A free, multilingual mobile app accompanies all visitors in rediscovering the cathedral. It is compatible with Android and iPhone.
