Priestly ordinations at Notre-Dame de Paris – 27 June 2026

On Saturday 27 June 2026 at 9.30 am, Notre-Dame de Paris will host the priestly ordinations of the Diocese of Paris. Archbishop Laurent Ulrich of Paris will ordain nine new priests.

Called by God to serve his Church, these men have been trained at the diocesan seminary, in communities or in religious congregations. During this sacrament, the future priests will receive, through the laying on of the bishop’s hands and the anointing with Holy Chrism, the gift of the Holy Spirit for their ministry.

  • Date and time: Saturday 27 June at 9.30 am
  • The forecourt opens at 8.00 am
  • The forecourt is open to all, with a giant screen to follow the service
  • The service will be broadcast live on KTO

To ensure the celebration runs smoothly, the cathedral is making a one-off adjustment to its opening hours.

Friday 26 June 2026

  • Closed to the public at 2 pm
  • No Vespers or 6 pm Mass

Samedi 27 juin 2026

  • The cathedral will be closed all day
  • No Mass at 8.30 am, 12 noon or 6 pm
  • No Vespers at 5.15 pm

Everyone is invited to join in this celebration and to pray for these future priests, called by Christ and set apart for divine service, dedicated to God and to the good of the Church.
