Notre-Dame 2030: support the cathedral’s restoration

A year after its reopening, Notre-Dame continues its revival. More than 11 million visitors passed through its doors in 2025; worship has resumed, and the cathedral has once again become a vibrant place that welcomes, brings people together and passes on its heritage.

Notre-Dame 2030: a new phase in the restoration

But the story doesn’t end there. To ensure the cathedral’s long-term future, the Fondation Notre Dame has launched the Notre-Dame 2030 programme, supported by the Fonds Cathédrale de Paris. Its aim is to raise €5 million by 2030 to support projects that will enable Notre-Dame to thrive.

This programme comprises two complementary missions, between which donations are divided equally:

  • To contribute to the external restoration of the large rose windows, weakened by the heat of the fire, and the sculpted decorations, threatened by the ravages of time.
  • To support interior refurbishments and the welcoming of all visitors through sacred art projects, cultural outreach initiatives, and spaces dedicated to volunteers and the choir.

These projects are long-term in nature and continue an eight-century-old tradition of supporting Notre-Dame. Since the Middle Ages, every generation has chosen to support the cathedral in order to preserve, enrich and pass it on.
