Solidarity visits to Notre-Dame de Paris

Solidarity visits are aimed at groups involved in solidarity initiatives and associations, targeting marginalised groups, people with disabilities, and those in precarious situations or suffering from isolation.

What is a solidarity visit?

A solidarity tour is a specially adapted guided tour for small groups, led by a chaplain or volunteer from the cathedral.

Target audiences (non-exhaustive list):

  • People with disabilities (mental, psychological or physical);
  • Elderly and dependent persons (retirement homes);
  • Persons in precarious or isolated situations;
  • Persons from immigrant backgrounds or undergoing integration;
  • Protected youth (child protection, IME, MECS, etc.);
  • Integration groups (prisoners, addicts, reintegration, etc.).

Organisation of visits

  • Maximum group size: 15 people
  • Minimum of 2 accompanying adults required
  • No charge
  • Reservations must be made at least 21 days in advance of the desired date by email
  • Visits from Monday to Friday (late night opening on Thursday evenings)

The visits, designed for each group, take place in an atmosphere of trust and kindness, offering everyone the freedom, if they so wish, to be touched by God.
