Communique of Cardinal André Vingt-Trois

On this day for peace, it is particularly painful to see that extremists attacked faithful Copts who were attending a mass of the Christmas preparatory novena, the Nativity celebrated by our Coptic Orthodox brothers on January 6.
Cardinal André Vingt-Trois invites Catholics to pray for the victims and their families, for all Christians persecuted in the world and for peace.
The Mass on Sunday, January 2 at 6:30 pm at Notre-Dame de Paris will be celebrated particularly for this purpose.
