The Notre Dame Children’s Choir

Since the Middle Ages, in the cloister, where the priests live, children have received free room, board and instruction. In exchange, they were asked to sing in the cathedral during masses and other ceremonies. At midnight on 24 December, two children from the Choir School announced the arrival of Christmas by singing A Child is Born in Bethlehem, Hallelujah.
These children from the Choir School are still there today, and their tradition has been passed on over the centuries. Starting in September, one of them will invite you to follow them, by telling you about his life as a little singer at Notre-Dame…
