The choir organ in the cathedral of Notre-Dame de Paris is an exceptional example of the art of organ builder Robert Boisseau.

It is perfectly suited for the cathedral’s proportions and perfectly fulfils the liturgical role it was designed for. But the richness and diversity of its acoustic palette make it a remarkable instrument for playing organ literature, as heard in this Præludium in A minor by Dietrich Buxtehude (1637-1707) played by Yves Castagnet.
