During the night, the cathedral will be open for the projection of the show Notre-Dame de Paris, living cathedral.
The English artist Martin Creed has rang the bells during London Olympic Games in 2012. Thousands of bells have rang from 8.12 AM the 27th of July in the streets, in the monuments and in the crowds... in short, in any nook of UK.
After the success of All the bells, Martin Creed wants to repeat the experience in Paris for the 12th edition of White Night. The Vélib bicycles and other bicycles are welcome to make themselves as the bell and celebrate the launch of Nuit Blanche.
The work will happen in Paris, Saturday, October 5, by inviting bells and chimes of churches located throughout the route of White Night. From the Berges de Seine to Belleville Park through the Canal Saint-Martin and the Belleville neighborhood-Ménilmontant, a real bells concert will launch this new edition. All kinds of bells and buzzers are allowed, as long as the public is abundant.
White Night ask all parisians in bicycle to participate.
White Night will organize some bicycles meeting in many places of Paris. If you don’t have any bell at home, you can download on your smartphone the app "All the Bells". It will allow you to be part of the event.
Download it right now and make some noise during 3 minutes, the saturday 5th october from 7 PM.
Application All the bells, available on Appstore and Google play.

This hour-long film offers an introduction to the Notre-Dame de Paris cathedral, a masterpiece of Gothic art, but above all "the House of the Lord and the dwelling-place of Man."
We take a look at the 850-year history of the cathedral, from its construction in the Middle Ages through to the present day, its worldwide reputation and influence, as well as providing a more detailed insight into the architecture and the building techniques employed, its facades, portals, rose windows, wooden framework, the great bell, the organs, the music of the cathedral, the pure beauty of the liturgical ceremonies held there, and much more. The video includes exceptional views of the cathedral and 3D reconstructions.
"Notre-Dame de Paris, living cathedral" is a film co-produced by Notre-Dame de Paris and A Travers Production.
